(More customer reviews)Great success so far! The birds seem to really like the moving water and I like knowing that I am not breading mosquitoes. I have witnessed birds drinking and also taking little baths. It's easy to set-up and quiet. I only wish the product had an "off" switch I could use (it doesn't) while changing the water. I bought the ceramic top version because I thought the top screw looked a bit unattractive on the unit. The ceramic top has an added bonus because it makes the unit heavier (won't blow in the wind, etc.) I use mine in a deck mounted (heated in the winter) birdbath. Therefore, sometimes the birdbath tilts slightly to one side. The water wiggler seems to stay put. I am happy to learn that I will be able to use in when I plug my (heated) birdbath in for the winter. My birdbath seems to be the perfect depth, but the water wiggler directions state that the bath can't be too deep (to submerge the little moter). If so, you will need to prop the unit up on something (I hear a ceramic tray turned over from a pot works well). However, without going too deep, the unit seems to produce the most rippling effect in the water if the water is as deep as possible. The manufacturer states that the two "D" batteries are supposed to last two months before changing. I cannot comment on that since I have only had mine for a month (and so far, it's going strong without any problems!). Since I bought the water wiggler, I have recommended it to several other people.
